Volunteer Fire Awards Announced
The annual Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service Awards Dinner was held Thursday, November 13 at the William O. Beach Civic Hall. Congratulations to the award recipients: Misty Manners, Rescue Squad; Richard Conatser, Palmyra station; Louie Leftwich, Cunningham station; Jonathon Etson, St. Bethlehem station; Scott Velazquez, East Montgomery station; and Dustin Jones, Woodlawn station, for all being selected as Firefighters of the Year for their respective stations.
Louie Leftwich was given the high honor of being selected as the Overall Firefighter of the Year for 2014. Louie has been a volunteer firefighter since 1987 with the Cunningham Volunteer Fire Service.
