Stolen Vehicle
Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office have taken two men into custody for vandalism and theft.
Christopher Nicholas Lee Oquinn, 25, and James Dudley Cosgrove, 34, broke into a home still under construction on Freedom Drive sometime between July 25 and 26, 2018. Once inside the residence they poured paint on the floors and left the water running in all the faucets flooding the two story home.
On July 26, 2018, the men stole a 2005 Buick Century from a construction worker on Freedom Drive. With the assistance of a coworker the owner of the vehicle followed the suspects blocking their attempt to leave the subdivision. A deputy working in the area noticed the vehicles and approached the men to ascertain the circumstances.
Oquinn and Cosgrove were taken into custody and charged with vehicle theft. Oquinn faces additional charges of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to provide immediate notice of an accident.
Additional charges are pending.
Oquinn’s bond is $15,500. Cosgrove’s bond is $15,000.
