Local Author Hosts Book Signing at the Public Library
Carolyn Ferrell will sign her book “Occupied! The Story of Clarksville, Tennessee during the Civil War” in the large meeting of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 15. The book is the first complete chronicle of events during the time that Clarksville was occupied by Union forces during the Civil War.
Carolyn Stier Ferrell is a retired biology teacher and a fourth generation resident of Clarksville, Ms. Ferrell is familiar with the stories and images of the people as well as the events of the town she loves to call home. Ms. Ferrell is also the author of another book about Clarksville, “In Search of Nanny Tyler, a 100 Year History of a Family Who Helped Shape Clarksville.”
