Go Commando Race Road Closures Announced

On Saturday, October 20, 2012, the City of Clarksville, Montgomery County Government and Clarksville – Montgomery County CVB will host the 2012 Go Commando Half Marathon powered by CDE Lightband. The half-marathon is a 13.1-mile course which will begin and end on Riverside Drive near McGregor Park.

The course will utilize the following roads: Highway 48/13, Mayhew Rd, River Rd, Zinc Plant Bridge and Riverside Drive. There is a 4-hour time limit, the route will be open from 7:30a – 11:30a. Please be aware that you may be asked to alter your route while the race is in progress, to ensure the safety of the runners while on the roads. This year we anticipate over 600 half-marathon runners.

We hope that you will join us in welcoming these runners in your community. Show your support by cheering, playing music, or encouraging the runners from your home.

We would also ask that you consider keeping your outside animals in a location that would be secure for both your pet and the runners. You are under no obligation to restrain your animals, however for the safety of all involved we would hope you take the necessary precautions to keep your pet and the race participants safe.
