Free Community CPR Event
Montgomery County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) will partner with the Austin Peay State University Nursing Program to offer a Community CPR Class on Saturday, September 13. It will begin at 9 a.m. at the Red Barn on Austin Peay campus and will conclude at noon. The class is free and open to the public.
Attendees will learn:
- Adult, child and infant CPR
- Adult, child and infant choking relief techniques
- Use of AED machines
County Mayor Carolyn Bowers states, "I applaud the efforts of the EMS staff and APSU nursing students to increase public awareness and safety by offering this class free of charge to the public. Increased public education is a goal of our EMS department and this is an excellent class for citizens of all ages. I encourage the public to take advantage of this opportunity!"
