Cat Adoption Incentive Program for April

Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter is collaborating with Montgomery County Animal Control for the month of April to assist in increasing the number of cat adoptions. During the extended adoption hours on Thursday nights from 4 to 7 p.m., Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter will pay the $25 adoption fee for all cats over the age of 6 months. Adopters will still be responsible for any necessary vetting costs and the adoption fee will be paid directly to Animal Control at the time of adoption.

Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter, or MCFOTS as it is affectionately known, is an animal welfare organization created to assist Montgomery County Animal Control and help facilitate the adoption of their homeless animals. Current programs include fostering dogs who have been at Animal Control for an extended time without potential adopters, grooming animals in need to make them more presentable, taking pictures of the animals available for adoption and promoting them through the MCFOTS Facebook page and soliciting funds to vet injured animals that come to animal control as well as providing items that increase the quality of life for the animals currently at the shelter.
